Abilkhan Kasteyev, born on November 21, 1904, in the village of Sarybulak, became an outstanding artist and art worker in Kazakhstan. His life was devoted to the love of his native people and creativity. Kasteyev stood out with a unique style that absorbed national traditions and modern artistic trends. His contribution to the cultural development of the country is great, and his work has become a national treasure.

The History of the Museum's Creation
The A. Kasteyev Museum was founded in 1984 in Almaty to preserve and pass on to future generations the legacy of the outstanding artist. This space has become not only a place to store his works but also a center that promotes understanding and values of Kazakh culture.

The Silk Road project, led by Irina Subbotina, was dedicated to the Eastern Silk Road Bazaar. The works show the countries through which the famous Silk Road passed and each piece reflects the characteristics of the country. The works were performed using traditional techniques - applique, and quilting.
